In this tour, you will visit the four surviving monasteries in Wadi El-Natrun, the birthplace for Christian monasticism and will be learning more about the Fathers of Christian monasticism.
Moving by a modern air-conditioned vehicle to Wadi El-Natrun. Originally, there were about 50 monasteries; only four have survived till today. Your trip will begin with Deir al-Baramus, the oldest of which and the most isolated one. Then proceeding to Deir El-Anba Bishoi ,who was buried in the monastery. Finally, your trip ends visiting Deir El-Suryani, the smallest and most compact of all the remaining monasteries. Later of the day, late lunch will be served at an Egyptian local restaurant.
