In order to save from the rising water of the Nile, the Egyptian government and UNESCO cooperated to transfer the both temples to their current location at the banks of Nasser Lake in 1960. Worth mentioning that this Temple (also known as The Sun Temple of Ramssess II) was built for the devotion of gods: Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Re, and King Ramsses II to honor himself. Many murals depicting his victory on the walls inside at Kadesh battle. To the north, Ramses II also built the Nefertari Temple, his favorite wife among 200 other wives and concubines. Eventually, you will be transferred back to your hotel / Cruise.
